Q. How long have you been planning weddings/special events and how did you get started in this profession?

A. I started in 2004 when I was asked to be in a friends wedding.  I was initially asked to be a bridesmaid but after some events had taken place, I was asked to be the maid of honor.  Once I took on that role I became completely involved in assisting her with all the details of her big day.  While assisting her I took a big interest in planning weddings and after assisting her some of my other friends and family asked if I could assist them.  From that point on I was known by family and friends as the coordinator for any event.

A defining moment in my life happened in 2005 when I realized this was something I was called to do, so I decided to take a Wedding/Event Planning Course with U.S. Event Guide and received my certification.  In August of that year Memorable Moments was born.    As a result, I dedicated myself to helping brides find out who they are, what they want and in turn, create their dream wedding day.

Q. What sets you apart from other planners?

A. I've planned many weddings and events ranging from low-budgets to no budget, but with each one I put my everything into that special day.  My goal is to use your inspirations, lifestyle, and personal fashion to coordinate and design the wedding that keeps guests raving for years to come.  I have a passion for transforming my clients vision into reality no matter how big or how small. My goal is to provide clients with personalized service that is unique and high style. I believe in transforming traditional events into something sleek and chic'. Our job is to translate what someone sees with their heart into something they can see with their eyes.

A personal pet peeve of mine are vendors who take days or weeks to return your phone or email...if they return it at all. I will always get back to you in a timely manner and you are always a priority for me, because I only work with a limited number of brides per year. If you have a question or request, I will give you a deadline for answering or completing it, right then and there. And meet it. I always take time and sincere thought in matching you to each and every vendor who will complement your dream wedding needs.

As you can see, I’m very passionate about what I do. I’m very lucky, and very grateful to be able to make a living doing what I love. My clients will tell you that working with me means having someone at your side who will anticipate your needs, who will not stop until get what you want. I am emotionally invested and supportive of each and every one of the couples I work with, and they all know that.

Q. This all sounds so wonderful, but it all seems so expensive, will I be able to afford it?

A. On the average it takes about 400 hours to plan a fabulous wedding, broken down that equals to 10 forty hour weeks.  Do you have the time for that?  Dealing with work, going to school, family, and friends.  But I’ve had so many brides tell me how much they’ve saved in time, money and energy working with me. I know who the best vendors are, how to get the best deals and save money, where you need to go first to get what you want, and what questions to ask once you get there. And If you don’t quite know what you want, yet, I know how to get you to the point where you do. Time. Money. Energy. Saved.

So, what does your wedding look like? Schedule your complimentary “get acquainted” consultation with me so that we can really talk about that day and how we can create it together. “Free” is about as cheap as you can get.

Q. Will I lose control of my wedding if Memorable Moments assist in the designing and planning process?

A. No!  It is your day and you are in complete control.  A professional planner does not take control, we are only here to assist and advocate for you to bring your vision to life.  Nope. That is not the point of wedding planning. The point is that I work as an extension of who you are and of your creativity. You are the focus of your wedding. I’m just here to help you to realize your dreams for that day. Your wedding is customized to your needs, so you are always in control. Period.

Q. Who do you work best with?

A. Any bride or party host that understands the benefit and value of hiring a professional planner.  You will also benefit best from working with me if you want your wedding to happen in less than a year, possibly a few months or weeks, but you realize that you either don’t have the time, the resources or the know-how to get it done, and you are ready to make the investment to make your dream wedding a reality.

Q. Who will NOT benefit from you planning their wedding or special event?

A. Anyone who feels they do not need any assistance in any stage of the planning process.  Whether its from the beginning or the "day of".  We can assist in any stage of the planning process.  Since we’re going to be working together closely for a while, we definitely have to be a match for one another if we’re going to create your fantastic wedding day. So, if you’re a chronic skeptic or pessimist and have trouble seeing the gifts that you deserve, this is not for you. It’s okay if you feel you’re in this category, but think of it this way - you’re here on my site, so you’re ready to find out how to make your vision of your wedding into reality. And I will help you create that.

Q. Will you work with the vendors I've already selected or really want to work with?

A. Yes.  We will work with any vendor you have hired prior to obtaining our services or have a desire to work with.
